Telemedicine

Dr. Kassir offers the option of telemedicine meetings to all patients. Telemedicine is a secure online videoconference during which Dr. Kassir can provide medical evaluation and management as well as psychotherapy ("talk therapy"). Patients can join a telemedicine meeting using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The use of telemedicine allows meetings with patients who live too far from Dr. Kassir's office, and for whom in-person meetings are impractical.

In addition, the option of telemedicine has become increasingly important with the arrival of the pandemic. In order to reduce the risk of transmission of the coronavirus during a surge, Dr. Kassir sometimes recommends telemedicine meetings. Whether meeting face-to-face or by telemedicine, Dr. Kassir can provide the full range of psychiatric services.

Since the end of the public health emergency, please note that Dr. Kassir can no longer provide telemedicine treatment to patients located outside California.
